I was told that I could replace my 350 with a 6.5 in my 88 1-ton as long as I used a 92-93 engine. Have I received bad info, has anyone done or heard of this swap? Any comments or info will be appreciated. Thank you.

I have a moving company and own 6 1999 f series box trucks which I purchased from budget rentals.The vehicle has a governor that limits it's speed to 65 mph, I would like to increase this to allow my drivers to at least run at highway speeds (70 mph). How do I adjust this. My regular fleet maintenance guy wants to charge me 450.00 per truck!!! Is it that difficult? I feel like he is about to screw me on the deal!! Please help if you can. I've got a diesel truck engine with a "y" vin code. This is a 6.5l code, isn't it? I tried to get a new thermostat and gasket for it, but neither was close to what I've got. The water neck I've got has three bolt holes, but the one the guy at the parts store had was a two holer. Did this motor get switched before I got the truck? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Could be a fuel injector problem, a fuel system problem in general (injecting too much fuel) or possible that it could be a problem with the engine burning oil. You'd have to keep track of how much oil you're having to add.

i have a 2002 7.3 powerstroke with 46,000 miles. today it dumped all its oil. looks like it came out the top of the engine. dont think it was the turbo, it still ran fine, no white smoke. any ideas?

I have a cummins isc 300 engine; recently I have the start batteries replaced; the first time I tried to start the engine I noticed the guages went in reverse; it turns out one of the smaller auxiliary battery cables was on the positive post rather than the negative post; I changed the cable but now the engine will not turn over; I looked for a fuse, as I feel that is likely the issue but have not been able to find any in-line or other fuse; any ideas?

I have just bought a motor-home that has a 230 hp 5.9 liter Cummins diesel I am wondering what the fuel burn is for this engine. The motor-home GVW is 20,000 lbs. I understand that conditions will vary but still what can I expect boping down the interstate. Any answers are welcome.
